Picture-o-the-Day
Subjecting you to more science-talk! What is this unusual object, you ask? It's an artificial reef that my group (me, Jen & Robin) built for a research project we had in Hawaii. The objective? To build an artificial reef out of junk from the junk yard, sink it, then monitor it to see how many organisms it attracts. How successful were we? Well, the synaptid cucumbers sure loved it...

Haha....that thing looked so hideous. The coconut tree part probably would of skewered any fish that went by it. And the poor synaptids probably just got tangled in it and couldn't get out. Aahh...Hawaii memories!!!
